48V magnetic track lighting has become the default for retail, hospitality and modern homes because it is endlessly reconfigurable. A slim aluminum rail carries safe low-voltage DC48V through a magnetic channel, so spotlights, grille lights and pendants snap on anywhere and move without tools.
Start with the rail. Surface-mount track fixes to the ceiling; recessed track drops into a gypsum-board channel for a flush look; pre-buried track is embedded before finishing for a trimless, seamless line. Rails come in 1, 2 and 3 m sections and link with straight, L-shape and flexible corner connectors.
Then choose modules: honeycomb and spiral anti-glare spotlights on Bridgelux COB (3–10W), grille bars, and mini or globe pendants — in white, black, silver and gold. Because everything shares one rail, a space can be relit for a new season or layout in minutes.
Powering a run is simple: size a DC48V power supply (100W or 200W) to the total module wattage with ~20% headroom, and feed the rail through an inline power connector. For a 5 m retail run of ten 10W spotlights, a single 200W supply is comfortable.
