Mounting frames turn a bare LED panel into a clean surface-mount, recessed or suspended fixture. The two materials you will stock are extruded aluminum and electro-galvanized steel — and choosing the right one per project keeps both cost and quality in check.

Aluminum frames are light, corrosion-resistant and hold a premium finish (anodized or powder-coated), so they are the better choice wherever the frame is visible — surface-mount office ceilings, showrooms and architectural work. Screwless aluminum designs also cut installation time.

Electro-galvanized steel frames win on cost for high-volume recessed and lay-in projects where the frame is hidden above the ceiling grid. A white powder coat and 0.5–1 mm gauge give a rigid, clean result at a lower unit price.

A practical stocking rule for distributors: aluminum for surface-mount and sky/floating frames, steel for recessed kits and T-bar lay-in. All of ours fit both backlit and edge-lit panels in standard 595×595, 600×600, 300×1200 and 600×1200 mm sizes, with white, black and custom RAL finishes.

Short answers extending the topic of "Aluminum vs Steel LED Panel Frames: A Wholesaler’s Buying Guide".

Ask our sales team
Aluminum or steel LED panel frame — which should I stock?

Aluminum frames are lighter, corrosion-resistant and take a premium anodized or powder-coat finish, ideal for visible surface-mount and architectural installs. Electro-galvanized steel frames are more cost-effective for high-volume recessed and lay-in projects. Most distributors stock aluminum for surface-mount and steel for recessed kits.

Do your frames fit both backlit and edge-lit panels?

Yes. Our surface, recessed, lay-in and sky frames are produced for both backlit and edge-lit LED panels across standard sizes (595×595, 600×600, 300×1200, 600×1200 mm), with 25–120 mm heights and screwless assembly.

What finishes are available on aluminum frames?

Standard white, black and custom RAL powder-coat, plus anodized options. Custom colors are a common OEM request with a per-color MOQ.
